Wave Band
With each wave that rushes up the sandy beach and withdraws, a soft impression is left on the earth. The sand is at the will of mother nature’s tides. This soft sweeping pattern has long been an inspiration, its texture asking to be wrapped around the finger.
Handcarved in wax, each line was carefully sculpted to emulate this natural pattern, evoking an afternoon spent sauntering down the shoreline. Cast using the lost wax process, the texture is cleaned up and finished with a stipple wheel, then polished lightly across the high points.
