These one of a kind earrings began their story in February 2023, when I purchased the tourmalines in Tucson, Arizona. While there are many, many gorgeous stones at the gem show, these really spoke to me. I didn’t immediately know what they would become, but after sitting with them for over a year, I finally made my decision.

The upper elements of these earrings were hand carved and cast in 18K gold using the lost wax process. They were originally inspired by the ruffled edges of cup coral. After the first clusters were cast, the spheres were added to the centers and so they became flowers, or as I like to think of them, ‘flowers of the sea’. At the center of each flower, a diamond is set, and they hang from ear wires embellished with a 3mm bezel set diamond.

Hanging below are 47.6 carats of gorgeous Brazilian watermelon tourmaline suspended in hand fabricated settings, embraced by bezel set diamond prongs, bringing the total diamond weight to nearly a carat.

This elegant set is made to be seen! While the diamonds are all flash and sparkle, the tourmalines have a luminous hue that captivate the eye and truly enchant. The one of a kind nature of these earrings guarantee you’ll be the only one in any room wearing them.

Watermelon tourmaline is known to be a grounding stone, creating calm and inner balance. It can promote self love, and help with emotional healing, for all the heartbreak life may throw at us.

Overall these earrings measure 2 1/4″ by 13/16ths.
