Small Urchin Ring
ONLY ONE OF EACH AVAILABLE BEFORE CHRISTMAS!
Since I was a little girl I have collected sea urchins on the beach. The joy of finding one entirely intact was paramount to anything else I could pick up along the shore. Even more exciting were the smallest ones. I wanted to create a piece that emulated those treasures. This tiny urchin allows you to carry your love for the ocean along with you wherever you go. Available in sterling silver and gold, and embellished with the stone of your choice, it is the perfect finishing touch to any outfit.
The base of this urchin was handcarved in wax and carefully hollowed out for wearability. I then individually applied hot wax spheres to create the familiar texture. After a mold was made it was cast using the lost wax method, cleaned up and finished like most of my pieces with a stippled texture, the high points polished.
This ring features a 3mm Montana green sapphire set in an 18KY gold bezel.
