Pink Tourmaline Wave Ring in Sterling Silver and 18K Gold
With each wave that rushes up the sandy beach and withdraws, a soft impression is left on the earth. The sand is at the will of mother nature’s tides. This soft sweeping pattern has long been an inspiration, it’s texture asking to be wrapped around the finger.
Hand carved in wax, each line was carefully sculpted to emulate this natural pattern, evoking an afternoon spent sauntering down the shoreline. Cast using the lost wax process, the texture is cleaned up and finished with a stipple wheel, then polished lightly across the high points.
Featured in this ring is a gorgeous cushion cut pink tourmaline in a rich deep hue, weighing in at 1.33 carats. Set in an 18K gold step bezel setting, it is surrounded by tiny granules, or bubbles left by the sea. Tourmaline is known as a shield stone, protecting one from unwanted, negative energy and harmful thoughts. It can also ground the wearer and help balance chakras.
